69 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the existence of an upper age limit for applicants for library assistants; if he considers this age limit satisfactory; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
While there are no proposals to change the present upper age limit for the post of library assistant, the question of the age limit applicable to this post will be examined in the light of ongoing reviews of recruitment policy in relation to local authority recruitment grades and similar grades in the wider public service.
