Vol. 396 No. 4

Written Answers. - Dublin Air Pollution.

Tomás MacGiolla

Ceist:

27 Tomás Mac Giolla asked the Minister for the Environment the correspondence which has been received from the European Commission concerning air pollution in Dublin.

In August 1989 the European Commission, acting under Article 169 of the Treaty, requested the Irish authorities to submit observations on matters with respect to compliance with Council Directive 80/779/EEC on air quality limit values and guide values for sulphur dioxide and suspended particulates. A response was sent to the Commission in October 1989.
