Ceist:52 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Health if he is satisfied that the terms of Circular No. 5/87 regarding the discharge from hospital of homeless persons are being implemented in all health board areas.

I am satisfied that the terms of the circular are being implemented by the health boards and voluntary hospitals and that they are committed to its implementation.
However, because some isolated instances have arisen from time to time, I am again arranging to have each health board and voluntary hospital circulated with a reminder of the terms of the circular.
