Ceist:33 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance if he will agree to a settlement of income tax and VAT due on the estate of a deceased person (details supplied) in County Cork.

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that, in the circumstances of this case, they are precluded by statutory obligations from entering into any arrangement to accept other than the full amount of taxes legally due.
