Ceist:71 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of quota holders under 20,000 gallons (a) outside the disadvantaged areas and (b) within the disadvantaged areas.
Written Answers. - Milk Quota.
The quota system in Ireland is operated on a purchaser — i.e. co-operative or dairy — basis. Details of quotas of individual producers are not held by my Department. I can state, however, that there are approximately 32,000 milk producers with quotas under 20,000 gallons.
