Ceist:254 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for the Environment the reasons he rejected the request from Dublin Corporation for sanction to carry out a window replacement programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The management and maintenance of their dwellings including, where necessary, programmes of window replacement are matters for the local authority. However, where such work forms part of an integrated refurbishment programme in designated estates, assistance may be made available to the authority under the Department's remedial works scheme.
