Ceist:351 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education the approximate cost of giving every second level pupil the opportunity to undertake a six year cycle.

My Department are at present examining the position in regard to the number of pupils who are at present following a six year post-primary cycle through the transition year programme, VPT I and II Programme and the repeat leaving certificate.
I am not, therefore, in a position at present to furnish the information sought by the Deputy.
