78 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Health the number of people who paid the £10 charge for out-patient treatment in each board area in 1989; the number from whom health boards are still awaiting payment; the amount collected in each health board area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 66 and 78 together and to circulate the information requested by the Deputy in a tabular statement in the Official Report.
I wish to confirm that, in relation to amounts outstanding, the policy of my Department and the agencies is to ensure that every possible effort is made to collect all charges properly payable.
