Ceist:46 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the additional accommodation which will become available to the Government and Houses of the Oireachtas following the renovation of the College of Science building, Dublin 2; the facilities which will be accorded to Members of the Dáil and Seanad; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 38 and 46 together.
The refurbishment works currently under way at the former College of Science will provide new accommodation for the Taoiseach, Ministers and Ministers of State and the Department of the Taoiseach. The former engineering block to the rear will also accommodate approximately forty Deputies. There are no proposals to provide recreational facilities in the new accommodation.
