The numbers of recipients of disability benefit for each of the past ten years as a percentage of persons insured for disability benefit is shown in the table below.
The figure of 23 per cent quoted by the Deputy refers to the number of disability benefit claims paid during 1974 as a percentage of all those insured for disability benefit. This statistic is being revised and current figures are not available.
