Ceist:126 Mr. S. Barrett asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will take steps to ensure that all soup manufacturers comply fully with the food labelling regulations.

The enforcement of the food labelling regulations is a matter for the health boards and the Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trade who is independent in the performance of his functions.
I have, however, referred certain correspondence on this issue to the director for his attention.
