Vol. 399 No. 3

Written Answers. - Land Registration.

John Fahey

Ceist:

120 Mr. J. Fahey asked the Minister for Justice the up to date position regarding the land registration application of persons (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and when registraton will be completed.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the application referred to is for registration of a transfer order which was relodged in the Land Registry on 2 April 1990 and includes an application for a mapping amendment. It has been found necessary to raise a number of queries on the application with Tipperary (South Riding) County Council and the application cannot be processed further until these queries have been satisfactorily discharged. The matter will be attended to as soon as possible.

It is the policy of the Land Registry to try, as far as possible, to expedite cases in which it can be established that special circumstances of urgency exist and any such case will be specially considered if details of the reasons for urgency are submitted to the registrar.
