138 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; when the grant was approved; and the average length of time for payment at present.
The grant, which was approved on 21 February, 1987 will be paid as soon as possible. It is not meaningful to speak of an average period between the approval and payment of a grant as the period involved in each case is primarily dependant on how long the applicant takes to have the work carried out and to claim payment of the grant.
