167 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education the number of national schools which have an enrolment greater than 500; and if she will outline the number and the names of such schools which have the service of an ex-quota remedial teacher; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

One hundred and eighty-one of the 186 national schools with an enrolment in excess of 500 have a remedial teaching service. It would be a matter for individual boards of management to indicate whether they have the services of a remedial teacher.
