Ceist:

80 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary, whose reactor grant has not been paid since September 1989 will be paid interest to cover this delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The delay in this case resulted from problems associated with the amalgamation of two herd numbers and the grants in question will be paid in the near future.

There are no funds available to ERAD from which interest can be paid in the event of delays in grant payments.
