Ceist:90 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the three week delay in having brucellosis blood samples tested in County Cork.

I am informed by the Director of ERAD that brucellosis blood samples are tested within three days of receipt at the testing laboratory and positive results are notified immediately to the district veterinary office. However, due to the increased workload arising from the full round of blood testing being undertaken this year, slight delays are occurring in the notification of negative results to private veterinary practitioners.
