The position is that a proposed extension to the second level school in Castlerea is one of four projects included in the design, finance and construct pilot scheme currently being processed by my Department.
The Deputy will appreciate that the preparation of the complex documentation, including contract, design brief and specifications, involved in such a scheme has required careful and detailed consideration by my Department and their legal advisers. Pending the finalisation of these matters, I am not in a position to say when the construction of the extension will commence.
