Ceist:70 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Finance if he will investigate the high level of inheritance tax liability of a person (details supplied) in County Limerick with a view to having it reduced.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the person has not yet submitted an inheritance tax return which he is legally obliged to do. In the absence of such return, the extent of his liability, if any, has not yet been ascertained.
