89 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Energy if he will give a breakdown of the chemical composition of Ireland's natural gas; and, in particular, the percentage composed of methane.
Our only current source of natural gas production is the Kinsale Head gas field. The particulars sought by the Deputy are set out in the following table in so far as gas from the Kinsale Field is concerned. The Deputy will note that this gas is composed almost entirely of pure methane.
