Phil Hogan

Ceist:

45 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education if she will give consideration to an expansion of faculty under the auspices of Carlow Regional Technical College to the city of Kilkenny; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Responsibility for the establishment of educational facilities under the auspices of Carlow Regional Technical College is a matter, in the first instance, for the college authorities, i.e., County Carlow Vocational Education Committee.

To date my Department have received no formal proposal from County Carlow VEC to establish educational facilities in the city of Kilkenny.
