68 Dr. Fitzpatrick asked the Minister for Finance the present position of the Debtors' Prison in Halston Street off North King Street, Dublin 7; if the Office of Public Works have any plans for same; if they will enter into negotiations with community associations or vocational associations with a view to developing the Debtors' Prison; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

In pursuance of Government policy on disposal of assets, it is proposed to offer a lease on this property, which is surplus to requirements, for sale on the open market. The required legal documentation is being prepared by the Office of the Chief State Solicitor.
