69 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if Comhlucht Siúicre Éireann has been endeavouring to attract a business partner for its engineering plant in Tuam, County Galway; if so, the progress which has been made; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Siúicre Éireann cpt is at present endeavouring to attract a suitable business partner for its engineering plant at Tuam. Discussions are in progress with a number of established firms. I am not as yet in a position to make a statement on the matter.
