Vol. 400 No. 6

Written Answers. - DIRT Tax Rebates.

Michael Noonan

Ceist:

31 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Finance the arrangements which have been made to ensure that rebates of DIRT tax to old age pensioners who do not have a tax liability are made as quickly as possible; if his attention has been drawn to the long delays which take place at present; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Owing to the temporary disruption of the work of the Revenue Commissioners in Dublin Castle which has been necessitated by the Heads of State Summit Meeting it has not been possible in the short time available to provide the information requested. If the Deputy repeats his question in a week's time, I will provide, as far as possible, the required information.
