Ceist:70 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Justice the number of persons charged under the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act, 1976; the number of cases tried under the Act; and the outcome of these cases.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that to date a total of 16 persons have been prosecuted under the extra territorial provisions of the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act, 1976. Of these 12 were convicted and four were acquitted.
