185 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received an application from Ennis Urban District Council (details supplied) for assistance from the small schemes in the sanitary services programme which would relieve extensive hardship in the Loughville area of Ennis; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This is one of a significant number of water schemes submitted to my Department under the small schemes programme for 1990. Having regard to the competing demands for high priority schemes and the limited funds available for the small schemes programme I cannot anticipate when I will be in a position to approve this scheme.
