Ceist:

54 Mr. Flanagan and Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will arrange to raise through the Anglo-Irish Secretariat, the matter of the transfer of Northern Irish prisoners, serving prison sentences in Britain, to prisons in Northern Ireland on humanitarian grounds; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Government are in regular contact with the British authorities on this question, both through the embassy in London and through the Anglo-Irish Secretariat.
