Vol. 402 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

59 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment if a £2,250 new house grant will be approved for persons (details supplied) in County Wexford; in view of the fact that the date of commencement and the date of the grant being abolished coincided.

It is a statutory condition of the scheme that applicants must on or before 31 March 1987, have entered into a contract to purchase or build the house. The applicants in this case have not established compliance with this condition and, accordingly, the grant cannot be allowed.

Enda Kenny

Ceist:

60 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and the amount approved in respect of the works carried out.

A grant of £1,566, based on the actual cost of works carried out, has been paid.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

61 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment when all remaining instalments of mortgage subsidy will be paid to persons (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payment of the mortgage subsidy will be considered on receipt of the claim form, duly certified by the lending agency, and also certain additional information requested.
