Vol. 402 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

57 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education if she will re-investigate the possibility of having school transport provided for children (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The children in question live 1.5 miles from Kilmoganny national school, their nearest school, and are therefore not eligible for free transport. In view of their basic ineligibility I regret they may not have transport either on a free or fare-paying basis to another national school.

Toddy O'Sullivan

Ceist:

58 Mr. T. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education when transport for an autistic child (details supplied) in Cork who must travel 40 miles per day to attend a special school will be provided; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Arrangements have been made to have the child in question accommodated on a special school transport service from Monday next, 5 November 1990.
