Ceist:173 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if he proposes to make funds available to the health boards in order to improve facilities for chronically ill children.

It is part of my policy that services for chronically ill children, as a integral component of services for the chronically ill, should be protected and developed as a matter of priority as resources become available. I am satisfied that health boards will have due regard to the thrust of this policy in allocating resources to these services.
