199 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Education the reason Deputy Gerry Reynolds did not receive a reply to correspondence of 4 October 1990 relating to a deputation concerning Carrick-on-Shannon community school, County Leitrim.
My office received a request by letter from County Leitrim Vocational Education Committee to meet a deputation to discuss the proposed community school for Carrick-on-Shannon.
My office later responded to the request and indicated a suitable time and date for the meeting.
I regret the Deputy's letter was not acknowledged but unfortunately due to a typing dispute in Government Departments there has been a large backlog of correspondence.
