54 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the financial support he provides for the reception, care and maintenance of non-planned refugees to the State; the way in which they are catered for; the proposals he has to improve on these facilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has no responsibility for the reception, care and maintenance of non-planned refugees. Since no financial support is provided from my Department's resources for these purposes the question of improving on facilities does not arise.
