Vol. 402 No. 5

Written Answers. - Tax Free Allowances.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

69 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the correct tax free allowance applicable in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that they have no record of the individual referred to in the question. If she has taken up employment she should apply to the inspector of taxes who deals with her employer's tax affairs for an RSI number and a certificate of tax free allowances.

Michael Bell

Ceist:

70 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in issuing a tax free allowance certificate to a person (details supplied) in County Louth.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that, on the basis of the information supplied, they are unable to trace the taxpayer in their records. The inspector of taxes has now written to the taxpayer at the address supplied by the Deputy requesting the details which are necessary to enable a certificate of tax free allowances to be issued.
