Vol. 402 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Austin Deasy

Ceist:

89 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the up to date position in relation to an application for an installation aid grant for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when payment of same will issue.

It is hoped to have this grant paid within the next four to five weeks.

Charles Flanagan

Ceist:

90 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the circumstances in which an installation aid payment was refused to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if, having regard to circumstances which have recently come to light, the decision to refuse will be reviewed.

As the instrument transferring the lands in question was signed before the scheme came into operation the applicant was deemed ineligible. An appeal against this decision is now the subject of legal examination and it is expected that a decision will be given shortly.

Gerry Reynolds

Ceist:

91 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a low land reclamation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

It is hoped to have this grant paid within the next four to five weeks.

P. J. Sheehan

Ceist:

92 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of cattle and sheep headage grants.

This applicant has already been paid his first and second advances under the 1990 ewe premium scheme. He will be paid the balance due to him as soon as the EC decides on the total premium due per ewe for the 1990 marketing year. Payment of 1990 sheep headage will issue when 1990 payments under that scheme commence at end of November 1990.

Payments due to him under the 1990 cattle and equines headage and suckler cow premium schemes will issue as soon as payments commence under these schemes in early December 1990.

His application for grants under the special beef premium scheme is being processed by the district livestock office and if found in order payment will issue to him also in early December 1990.
