Vol. 402 No. 8

Written Answers - County Louth School Accommodation.

Dermot Ahern

Ceist:

125 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the need to have the proposed replacement building at St. Mary's Diocesan School, Beamore Road, Drogheda, County Louth, ready for use in September, 1992 due to the pressure on numbers in the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter with particular reference to the projected completion date.

I am aware of the need for the proposed extension to St. Mary's Diocesan School in Drogheda. Every effort will be made to have the planning of the project completed as soon as possible.

However, the position is that the rate at which this and other such projects may proceed is dependent on the availability of capital resources and on my Department's other commitments and priorities. In the circumstances I am not in a position at present to indicate a completion date for the project.
