68 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the refusal by his Department to allow the application of a person (details supplied) in County Louth for a suckler cow premium; if he will reverse this decision, in view of the fact that the person lodged his application well in advance of the deadline; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I have recently announced an extension of the closing date for receipt of applications under the 1990 suckler cow premium, special beef premium, cattle and equines headage and beef cow and equines headage schemes from 13 July 1990 to 3 August 1990.
As the suckler cow premium scheme application of the person named was received in the local office of my Department prior to 3 August 1990, it has now been accepted and is being processed.
69 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an agricultural installation premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.
This applicant has been adjudged eligible under the scheme and payment will be made within the next few weeks.
