Ceist:42 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will now pay farm modernisation grants due to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

Ceist:43 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a decision has been made regarding payment to farmers whose headage grant applications were lodged after the closing date.
As I already announced some days ago I have decided to extend the closing date for receipt of applications under this year's cattle headage and cattle premium schemes to 3 August 1990. This extension will benefit approximately 500 farmers who would otherwise have been deemed ineligible to participate in the schemes this year.
