Ceist:44 Mr. S. Barrett asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce when he intends introducing new legislation in relation to patents.

I expect to get, shortly, the full text of the Bill from the Attorney General. I understand that only some miscellaneous drafting points remain to be finalised at this stage and this should not take long.
As soon as I receive the text I will be submitting it urgently to the Government for approval and its early introduction.
