Ceist:183 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for the Environment when he will sanction the treatment plant for Drogheda, east Meath and Louth County Councils.

Approval issued in May 1990 to Drogheda Corporation to prepare a preliminary report based on the provision of a secondary treatment plant to serve Drogheda. In addition, the corporation was requested to report on the feasibility of treating sewage from Mornington and Bettystown as part of the proposal. Submission of this preliminary report is awaited.
