Ceist:238 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on a new vocational school at Mooncoin, County Kilkenny; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I have recently agreed to allow this project to proceed to tender and the building unit of my Department will shortly contact County Kilkenny VEC in order to make the necessary arrangements.
The question of the placing of a contract will be considered when the tenders have been obtained by the VEC and examined. However, the rate at which this, and all such capital projects may proceed is dependent on the availability of capital.
