Vol. 403 No. 4

Written Answers. - Murroe (Limerick) School Extension.

Willie O'Dea

Ceist:

251 Mr. O'Dea asked the Minister for Education when the extension to Murroe national school, County Limerick will commence; the total cost of the project; and the level of funds required to be raised at local level.

I have approved the placing of the contract for the proposed extension to Murroe national school, County Limerick, and my Department will immediately contact the school authorities about the further arrangements in this regard. I am not in a position to say exactly when building works will commence but I can assure the Deputy that any necessary delay will be kept to a minimum. It is not possible to divulge the cost of the project or the amount of the local contribution because of the necessary bond of confidentiality in the matter between my Department and the school authorities.
