295 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education the arrangements she is setting in place to provide for teacher and parental representation on boards of management in comprehensive schools.
The position in relation to the board of management in comprehensive schools is that, in 1988, the question of enlarging the management structure of these schools so as to provide for parent and teacher representation on such boards of management was raised with all the interested parties.
At present all aspects relating to the revision of the management structure of these schools, including the legal aspects, are under examination within the Department.
