Ceist:

141 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Justice if, in view of the increase in robberies in Foynes, County Limerick, he will ensure that the staffing level is increased from its present staffing level of two gardaí to four, which was it previous strength in an important marine port.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the current strength at Foynes station is one sergeant and two gardaí and that it is proposed to assign an additional garda to the station as soon as circumstances permit.
