233 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Labour if he will outline the expenditure in 1990 in his Department on advertising and public relations including bulletins, newsletters, public information and leaflets; and the amount which was paid to external or non-public service consultants.
My Department spent £46,000 in 1990 under their advertising subhead. The expenditure related to routine advertising required by statute, miscellaneous artwork and general public information advertisments. No payments were made to consultants.
In addition, in 1990 a total of £13,800 was paid to the Government Supplies Agency in respect of printing of the Department's annual report, the Department's labour inspection report, the guide to the redundancy payments scheme and a document entitled, "Case Studies in Worker Participation".
