Ceist:

289 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction the tender for the Lisdoonvarna-Doolin water scheme, County Clare, as there is a high risk of a disaster if any accident should happen when the high tourist season is in progress with 8,000 visitors in the area.

There is no tender proposal before my Department for this scheme. However, a preliminary report, which was recently received in the Department, is under examination with a view to a decision on it.
