126 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education the number of staff redeployments and redundancies likely to arise following the recent changes at Lyons Estate, Celbridge, County Kildare; the cost, if any, of such changes; the net increase-decrease in total University College, Dublin, staff as a result; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
To date, following disposal of property, ten UCD staff at Lyons Estate have availed of early retirement in accordance with the terms of the public service voluntary redundancy/early retirement scheme; ten have been redeployed and negotiations are in progress regarding the redeployment of a further ten staff which, if implemented in full, will result in a total reduction of 30 staff at the Lyons Estate and in an associated net reduction of ten UCD staff overall.
