Ceist:152 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for the Environment if he will provide a special allocation for re-roofing sub-standard houses (details supplied) in County Tipperary.

My understanding is that these houses are in private ownership; responsibility for their upkeep, therefore, rests on the individual owners. As housing improvement grants have been terminated, there are no funds available from which assistance could be given in this case.
