Ceist:46 Mr. J. Fahey asked the Minister for Justice when land registration will be completed for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for first registration which was lodged in the Land Registry on 25 May 1989. Due to the pressure of work generally in the registry there is, at present, a delay in dealing with applications of this nature.
I am also informed, however, that it is the policy of the Land Registry to try, as far as possible, to expedite cases in which it can be established that special circumstanceas of urgency exist and any such case will be specially considered if details are submitted to the registrar.
