77 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Defence the reasons for the different terms under which the same vacancy in the Permanent Defence Forces (details supplied) has been advertised on two separate occasions; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have been advised by the military authorities that both the advertisements referred to by the Deputy stipulated that applicants must have successfully completed a regimental signal NCO's course.

In conformity with normal procedures these advertisements appeared in unit routine orders.
