Vol. 406 No. 3

Written Answers. - Donegal Housing Scheme.

Dinny McGinley

Ceist:

224 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received a draft plan from Donegal County Council outlining a proposed housing scheme in Fintown, County Donegal; when the plan was forwarded to his Department; the number and types of houses proposed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A revised layout and house types for a scheme of 14 to 16 houses in Fintown consisting of six to eight two-bedroomed houses and eight three-bedroomed was received in the Department on 9 February 1987. However, Donegal County Council did not nominate the scheme for inclusion in their programme of new "starts" in 1990. It will now be a matter for the council to decide whether they propose to proceed with the scheme within their 1991 allocation which will be notified to them shortly.
