Vol. 406 No. 3
40 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that all routine admissions will be cancelled for a nine and a half week period during 1991 at Tralee General Hospital, County Kerry.
54 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the proposed reduction in emergency services at Tralee General Hospital in the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August which is the peak period of the tourist season.
86 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that 30 beds will be closed every weekend in 1991 at Tralee General Hospital despite his promise to the contrary.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 40, 54 and 86 together. As I have already stated in the House apart from the normal seasonal closures, the level of bed availability approved for 1990 will be maintained during 1991 and the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board has been informed accordingly.
I expect to receive service plans shortly in respect of the Southern Health Board services.
